Originators of cultural life in our district are Community Centres in each communes, public libraries and their branches. The biggest emphasise on development and creation of cultural life has Community Centre “Poniatówka” in Błonie. Since 1988 it became the cultural centre for Błonie and with laps of time also for neighbouring areas. Events organised by the Centre are also popular amongst inhabitants of Warsaw. Other important Community Centres are located in Ożarów Mazowiecki (Centre called “Uśmiech”) and the one in Izabelin. There are cyclically organised some vernissages, meetings with authors, displays, concerts, workshops, shows.
Supervision over the most talented inhabitants of our district is entrusted to demotic troupes like: “Tęcza” from Radzików, “Ożarowiacy” from Ożarów Mazowiecki and “Leśni” from Leszno.
The district is also a place for many various events and festivals. Some of them were permanently added to local calendar of festivals. Among traditional events there are also many other outdoor parties, such as Summer Festival “In the land of Chopin” – organised by Music Fellowship named Kazimerza Wiłkomirskiego supported by district authorities and neighbouring communes. Festival is carried on in different places around Kampinos National Park throughout the year. Party promoting young talents, International Music Contest named Juliusza Zarębskiego, is annually mounted by Private Music School in Łomianki. More and more interest draws Artistic Output Festival “FETA” organised by Special Training and Educational Centre in Leszno. Infantile and youth artists from special schools are encouraged to present their vocal, dance and instrumental talents. The fact that such kind of events is rarely seen in Mazovia enhances the status of “FETA”. Festivals in Lipków or Kampinos which are held on the border with Kampinos National Park annually attracts several thousand of people, some of them came from far ends of Mazovia. Very popular is also “Eco-picnic” mounted each September in Kampinos. Main objective is to acquaint inhabitants with eco problems arising from farming and agriculture. Moreover, healthy lifestyle in clean and friendly nature is highly promoted. Along with that many displays, competitions and demonstrations are run. Time spent on the picnic is made even more pleasant by concerts held by famous music bands.
