Education
District education base consists of kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools, different types of high schools and even some academic level institutions, which is represented by Higher Seminary in Ołtarzew. Priests run their pastoral activities in region of Ożarów Mazowiecki for over 80 years. Another similar outposts is the Institute of Family Studies in Łomianki and branch of Higher School of Humanism and Economics in Błonie. Moreover there are special types of educational institutions; the Centre of Training and Education for Sightless Children named after Róży Czackiej in Laski, which can be proud of its longstanding and successful experience in education. The Centre was established in 1922 by Countess Róża Czacka. Due to its efficacy it is now known worldwide; each year about 300 sightless children is prepared for independent life. Some other special school is also in Leszno – Centre of Training and Education named after Colonel J. Strzałkowski. This school was founded especially for slightly or moderately impaired children and youth.
