Western Warsaw District has a very big economic potential and possibilities of fast development. It has high 3rd position among other Polish Districts in the ranking published by the daily paper Rzeczpospolita. Moreover, the communes: Łomianki, Ożarów Mazowiecki and Stare Babice for the next time were in a "Golden Hundred of Town Council", ranking organized by the same daily paper.
Economical development of a district shapes in a large measure the closeness of the capital. A significant part of inhabitants work in Warsaw or run service and productive activity, whose receiver is the capital. With relation to good communication conditions, transport, shipping and customs companies locate its premises here. Trade and service sector is being developed, next big logistic bases and production plants are created. With regard to an attractive location and good infrastructure, the district becomes also popular among foreign investors. Recently, the following companies have invested its capital here: Mitsubishi Corp., Hamelin Group, Volvo AB, McLane International Inc., Carrefour, Lindab AB, Mercedes and many other investment groups.
A perfect location contributes to an economic development. Through its land run two national railway routes: Warsaw-Poznań and Warsaw-Gdańsk, along which production, service and trade companies are located. The trunk line Moscow-Berlin, also runs through a district, and building A2 highway is planned. That is why transport, shipping and custom companies located its seats in the area of a district.
However, not only lands, being in a direct neighbourhood of the main routes, develop. In a district area small production, food processing, trade and house building develop dynamically.
